Get back to sb: to talk to someone again, usually on the phone, in order to give them some information or because you were not able to speak to them before;to communicate with someone at a later time or date. As in Tell Jill that I’ll get back to her about that business proposal after the weekend.
中文释义：get back to sb是指（等等）再回复/答复某人。比如你课堂问老师一个问题，老师不知道，他一般就会说,” I’ll go search it and get back to you”（我课后查一下，等等再回复你。）另外，在外企工作过的伙伴们都知道，老外要表示“稍后回复你”，经常说I will get back to you soon。这里的get back to you等于reply to you，意思是“回复”。可以用在邮件英语和电话英语里面。其实也有go back to you 这个表达，但它的意思是“回到你身边”，并不是“回复你”。
